NuMi App Includes HealthKit Integration to Help Better Tailor Nutrition Planning and Goals

(NASDAQ: NTRI), a leading provider of weight management products and services, announced today that its NuMi® by Nutrisystem digital weight loss app is now available as a free app for iPhone and Android. The Company also announced integration with the Health app in iOS 8, exclusively available for iPhone and iPod touch, making tracking food intake, calories burned, and profile information seamless through Apple Health.
The NuMi App offers real-time recommendations based on user preferences for individuals seeking to lose weight and supports users through not only the physical aspect of losing weight, but also the emotional and psychological components inherent in the weight loss journey.
NuMi is integrated with Fitbit, Jawbone and Withings: Activity devices including FitBit—Force, Flex, Zip and One, Withings Wifi Scale and Jawbone—UP and UP24 and all the activity data that a device tracks will automatically appear in a user’s NuMi profile. In addition, NuMi is also now integrated with Apple Motion on iPhone 5s, 6, and 6 Plus enabling step tracking data to automatically appear in a user’s NuMi profile.
With HealthKit integration for iPhone and iPod touch, users can both share activity and dietary calorie information with the Health app, adding it to their dashboard, and then have that data sent to the NuMi App, with approval, to build a more complete Nutrisystem profile that will help to better tailor a nutrition plan and set of goals.
