Former Child Star and Mom-of-Three Feels Great After Shedding Baby Weight
FORT WASHINGTON, Pa., Jan. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Moms across the country can certainly relate to Soleil Moon Frye’s story. After the birth of her third child, the actress and entrepreneur thought it was going to be impossible to find the time she needed to get back to her healthy lifestyle. However, with a little determination, she was able to do just that. The busy mom and former child star recently revealed that she lost 23 pounds on Nutrisystem (NASDAQ: NTRI), a leading provider of weight management products and services.
“For me, I just want to feel great. But carrying an extra 20 plus pounds started to weigh me down – literally,” said Frye. “I want to encourage moms to feel good about themselves. I think it’s important to empower ourselves. We have kids and we love our kids. But we still have ourselves. And I want to feel like the best version of myself. That’s why I turned to Nutrisystem.”
Frye loves the convenience of the Nutrisystem® program. The meals are quick and easy to prepare, which fits perfectly with her busy lifestyle. What’s more, she doesn’t have to miss out on dinners with her family.
“We’re a family, we eat together,” added Frye. I’m losing weight the healthy way. I need to lead by example. I’m not going to starve myself in front of my kids.”
Frye also concedes that she has quite the sweet tooth.
“I’ve always been a big fan of sweets,” said Frye. “Who wants to give that up when dieting? Not me! That’s another reason why Nutrisystem worked so well. I didn’t have to give up dessert!”
Frye jumpstarted her weight loss using Nutrisystem® Fast 5™, a one-week kick-start to the Nutrisystem® My Way® program, that promises a five pound weight loss in the first week of dieting.
Frye, who is no stranger to the public spotlight, began her career at the early age of 2. Since then, she has continued her success starring in several sitcoms including one alongside Nutrisystem ambassador and long time friend, Melissa Joan Hart, who lost 40 pounds on the program. She has also worn the hats of director and screenwriter as well as launched her own website.
In addition to Hart, Frye joins a cast of several other aspirational, yet highly relatable brand ambassadors who have successfully lost weight with Nutrisystem, including singer and actress, Marie Osmond, who lost 50 pounds; Hall of Fame quarterback, Dan Marino, who lost 22 pounds; and reality star, Darrell Sheets who lost 40 pounds.
Frye hopes that her weight loss success will inspire other mothers to make time for themselves and take that first step toward living a great, healthier life.
